Gearing Up for Annual IOGA Lobby Day—February 14 and 15.  Ever wonder why things are basically “quiet” for land, water and recreation based licensed outfitters and guides at the Statehouse? The answer is simple—IOGA maintains consistent contact through individual members, the IOGA staff, and our lobbyist.  Mark your calendars for February 14 and 15 for the sixteenth annual IOGA Lobby Days. The primary purpose of this IOGA event is to provide a well organized event for members to make contact with elected leaders in a variety of ways including the Taste of Idaho Outfitting dinner February 15 at the Basque Center in downtown Boise. This event pays huge dividends for the industry. The Taste of Idaho experience is a casual in nature and features a meal of wild game, fish and other tasty delicacies along with an opportunity to visit with legislators and others one-on-one regarding who we are, how we do business, what our contribution is to the Idaho economy as well as share information on issues of interest.  The success of this IOGA happening is due to participation by new and veteran IOGA members. Past participants list a variety of tangible and intangible benefits. Look for post card information soon. For additional information contact the IOGA staff at 208.342.1438 or idoutfitt@cableone.net
