IOGA Marketing Committee

Purpose: The purpose of the Committee is to assist the Association with determining the scope of IOGA’s group marketing program on an annual basis.
Role: The Committee’s role is to review and advise the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, the membership and the Executive Director on recommendations for raising awareness of Idaho as a destination for guided tourism. The committee is cognizant of the annual IOGA Idaho Travel Council grant that is focused on promoting Idaho outfitted activities. The committee meets during the annual IOGA meeting.
Relationships: The IOGA staff will provide committee members with copies of the quarterly reports provided to the Idaho Department of Commerce Idaho Travel Council. All committee members will receive the final copy of the annual IOGA-ITC grant application. Committee members are encouraged to contact ITC members during the June through mid-July period regarding the IOGA grant request. Committee members are encouraged to attend ITC meetings when they are in your region of the state. The chairperson of the Committee is responsible to develop an agenda in consultation with the Executive Director, chair meetings using parliamentary procedure and appoint someone to record the minutes of all meetings. Minutes should be distributed to all committee members and the IOGA staff.
Make-up of Committee: The Committee should reflect the general make-up of IOGA with at least 5 members. Chapter liaison participation is encouraged. Any member of IOGA can attend meetings.
