Spend a little time planning your trip to go lake fishing in Idaho because the type of game fish that you’re after
often will be specific to a particular lake. North Idaho specializes in big, deep lakes – scores of them – but the
type of fish you catch in them will vary. Huge northern pike can be caught in Lake Coeur d’Alene, for example, and
big lake trout will be found in Priest Lake and Lake Pend Oreille. Visit Idaho Lake Fishing.com for helpful information
about the state’s best lakes and the species found there. Then, find a guide that fishes the lake you want to fish.
Elsewhere in Idaho, the Snake River and its tributaries contain many productive reservoirs that contain rainbow trout,
kokanee, small-mouth bass, catfish, perch, crappie, bluegill and walleye. Brownlee Reservoir near Cambridge and C.J.
